While other “ARTISTS” have fallen victim to trends and compromised their integrity, GARY ALEXANDER has stayed true to his roots:
BLUE COLLAR AMERICAN ROCK & ROLL.

The hamlet of Joanna, South Carolina, Gary was born into a musical family. His father, Charles Alexander, popped up on the country music charts in the late 1960s with the modest hit “The Great Silver Bridge.”
Taking this as a foundation, Gary formed his first band at the age of 11. Songwriting came naturally for Gary as he started honing his craft immediately after forming the band. By the ripe age of 14, Gary was playing night clubs and smoky bars.

After the death of his mother, the weight of raising a family sat heavy on his father. At 16, Gary set out on his own to find himself and whatever life had to offer.

Finding Myrtle Beach S.C. as his new home, the struggle of sleeping on strangers floors and night club rooftops soon gave way to a chance meeting and job opportunity with Larry Gatlin & The Gatlin Brothers. The next two years Gary spent each night writing songs and absorbing everything could from the talented trio.

In late '95 Gary was cast to perform in a show at Fiesta Texas for Opryland Productions. After a year in San Antonio working for Fiesta Texas, Gary relocated to Nashville TN., where he cut his first demo at the Gatlin Brothers Studio. With a completed demo in his hands, Gary took a job back in Myrtle Beach at Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede as their featured comedian. Needless to say, the recordings soon made it to the airwaves across the state.

In '99 Crook & Chase (The Nashville Network) came calling and Gary was cast in a principal role in “Summer of 66,” a musical based on the life of country music television pioneer Jim Owens. Gary also served as Master of Ceremonies for the Crook & Chase stage show.

In late '99, Gary and 4 other talented young men co--founded the band “OCTOBER.” Together they began recording demos for Warner Brothers Records Nashville.

“ OCTOBER” soon faded into obscurity and Gary decided a change of pace would do good for the creative soul. Gary flew to Italy where he joined a cast on a cruise ship and traveled the Mediterranean and the Caribbean for a year.

With even more songs and determination, Gary returned to America on a mission that took him to… You guessed it, Las Vegas! Performing his original music at local venues in Vegas as well as in L.A. has slowly contributed to the success of this talented singer/songwriter.

With a life story worthy of a VH1 Behind the Music documentary combined with the talent and determination to seal the deal, Gary Alexander will achieve his goals; its only a matter of time.
